This is almost as brain dead as the pro ball players thanking god for allowing them to make enuff money to buy whores and coke.

The drop in hi-tech stocks may be partly explained by Y2K remediation leading to early spending of IT budgets to replace old machines in 1999 and a subsequent drought of IT spending in early 2000.
