Help Desks...

Hey all,

Just a thought. I was working on my girlfriend's computer last night and decided to do something I NEVER do: call the manufacturer's help desk. It's a company with the regrettable name of "Tiger". The wait time was 65 mins. It would not surprise me if this was not unusual...I've heard all manner of stories about obnoxiously long hold times for tech help, but it prompted me to wonder if it may be worthwhile to see if anyone working on that end of the industry call give some feedback in terms of call volume, manner of complaints, etc. I've not heard a lot about the PC end of things so far.

Just a thought.

In 1993 I waited for three hours on the Gateway help line. My PC is working well now, if you need a report of one.

January has always been a busy time for help desks, as clueless people set up that new PC they got for Christmas.....

Been real quiet at the one I work at, although many accounts were extremely busy in other business units...
