Here a little glitch that I noticed on yahoo finance.

I have been noticing that thier messages boards haven't been working at times and some of the stock quotes charts have been blank (no data available from most of these companies in 1900?). Also, the stock quotes seem to freeze up at times.

Stock quotes freezing up to allow market time to cool off. This is a programming feature. Not Y2K related

It's a pain in the ass getting into yahoo e-mail too.

They must have just fixed it (kinda). There were two references to the year 1900

1) (c) 1900 Yahoo! Inc.

2) Under the 1 year chart it said General MOtors Corp. as of 3-Jan-1900

So the problem is still not fixed they just changed the dated back to As of 31-Dec-1999

And the copyright has changed to (C)1999 Yahoo! Inc. while other pages are correct stating (C)2000 Yahoo! Inc and another variation on other pages is to just take the date off (c) Yahoo! Inc.

I guess they have not figured out the problem yet.

Yahoo! finance problems are a regular occurance due to the incredible traffic they are getting(Yahoo! has about 400 million page views per day)

I also post to a yahoo board...does anyone have any idea why there are large blocks of blank messages being posted with date of 12-31- 1969? This has happened at least twice...once yesterday.
