My employers experiences with the first two business days

This email was sent to everyone at XXXXX with email service. I have removed the company name, individuals names as well as a couple references to products/systems that could possibly identify us

Like the rest of the world...XXXXX is operating as normal and has encountered only minor Y2K glitches. These included...

International XXX Reports displaying 2099 in the report heading.
Serial number errors occurred on certain screen inquiries in Italy.
Domestically a back-dated inventory label program continually printed the wrong date.
A fix of a date issue in Italy created a format issue to correct.
A Dargal run time program provided incorrect dates to Dargal users and was adjusted.
Dates on a few XXX's were manually adjusted.
A few Mainframe call programs that pass dates needed fixing..
A set of Modems used as network backups potentially failed and are being investigated.
Date parameters on a weekly Backup Program defaulted to 1999 causing a delayed program run.
We expect such minor issues to continue throughout this week and again at cycle end.

This will be our last public email on Y2K. As such, I extend my gratitude to all who participated in XXXXX's Y2K effort. It was indeed a global team effort. A special "Thanks!" goes to... the Australians for confirming operations before many of us began to celebrate; to those in Japan and Switzerland who endured our contingency implementations up to the last day of the year; to our smaller facilities in Poland, Norway, Sweden, Hungary, China, and Korea who handled every detail on their own; to the Italians who laughed hysterically at my suggestion of testing on January 1st but who appeared and helped us greatly to understand our issues. "Thanks!" as well to... everyone who cooperated with the Help Desk in getting their desktop computers upgraded and patiently waiting on open tickets; to fantastic Key Users and our Technical Contacts for preparing us in Italy, France, Germany, and England; to our Managing Directors for supporting the distractions of their people; and to many departments that provided resources for testing. And lastly...to XXXXX XXXXXX (XXXXX's Y2K Project Leader), my good staff of Managers, Business Analysts, Computer and Network Technicians and Programmers. A job well done by all.

Have a great year!
