Dear Ed, I thank you. Would you please do me a BIG favor?

Dear Ed,

More than one year ago I bought your book, Timebomb 2000 and read it. Its contents made a lot of sense to me, and since then I spent a lot of hours on the Internet to confirm your warnings. I became convinced that the stakes in the Y2K disaster scenario were too high to be ignored. Consequently my wife and friends greatly participated to prepare our community for a potential disaster.

Fortunately the worst, loss of power, has not happened. But we're not out of danger yet. Read the September report of the Prudent Bear Fund at Prudent Bear. (grrrrrr --.pdf file) This alone should convince everyone to remain prepared, regardless of the outcome of Y2K.

Even though I was forced to live through years of TEOTWAWKI, I overcame such unbelievable obstacles that I keep wondering why I'm not six feet under ground, or at least to have been reduced to a drunken wastrel. I have written a memoir about my triumphs and will have it published. When I started to become aware of Y2K, I mostly put this process on hold, but I am now ready to continue.

It would be a great honor for me if you or Jennifer would read my manuscript, BASTARDS, BITCHES, AND HEROES. I can almost guarantee that you will find if of great interest, as it has been for others. If you do, I would appreciate if you could write a short review of it.

God bless, and Thank You. hatchou@yahoo.com

Not again!,

Catchy title for your manuscript! I'm intrigued, and would be happy to take a look at it. Please drop me a note with your real e-mail address, and I'll send you a snail-mail address for sending the manuscript (unless you want to send it electronically)

Ed

Ed: I know that this is not exactly your field, but I would urge you to follow up on Not Again!'s memoir if at all possible. He has been an important contributer here and his experiences say a lot for both our society and our ability to overcome adversity.

Well, that is certainly a catchy title.

Glad I prepared. Glad I haven't needed it so far.
