I really have to laugh at this. Why not just admit you got suckered into the biggest hoax in history? I'm real happy you are prepared, so am I. But why keep dragging this rationalization up? It's nothing but a big copout! You're making a fool of yourself!

Hey, troll boy! It's only Jan 3rd. I'm not willing to declare Y2K remediated successfully until we have a problem free January. And even if we do, I still am grateful that I made all the preps that I did.

Let's not get too carried away with optimism.

Really now, I am?

Gee.

So what was I making of myself for the past few decades, since that's how long I've made sure I had a several-month supply of non- perishable food on hand?

And what was I making of myself all the times I *needed* to use it over the years -- and was *able* to, because I *had* it on hand?

I'll grant you that I *have* needed a generator *several* times over the years, thanks to the atrocious service I received from Consumers Power. Quite a few > 1 day outages, and countless days of dirty power (brownouts, "flickering", etc.) from that company.

Now that I think about it, I guess I *was* a fool. Imagine all those years I spent suffering from lousy electric utility service, laboring under the delusion that there was no such thing as an *affordable* generator!

Oh, the humanity, etc.
