Please Gary North, give me a sign -- something to go on

I am one of your daily loyal readers. Please say something.

You are also feeling confused. This is not the Gary North site, this is the Timebomb 2000 site.

-- Old Git (anon@spamproblems.com), January 03, 2000.

Dear Gullible,

Please don't feel about about Mr. North. This isn't over with yet. From what I have been reading we are going to see more and more each day. Besides -- electricity and running water are sure habit forming. Take heart -- like Mr. Lord said, this is only the kickoff of the football game. There is lots still to come. You're not alone. We don't want to see disaster, we really are looking to justify all the hard work, expense and to save face with our friends, aren't we? Keep your chin up and hang in there.

-- Kim Scaramastro (kim@antipas.org), January 03, 2000.

If you're one of Gary's loyal readers, then you know that he doesn't POST on Sunday. Why people were Begging for stuff from him all day Sunday is beyond ME. So far as I recall, he's only posted ONCE on a Sunday. But, hey, today is Monday Morn, maybe he'll brighten your day later today.

-- DB (tomG@h.com), January 03, 2000.

Kim,

Sure-just keep repeating after Jim Lord "this has only just started". And maybe if you say it often enough Mr Lord's close personal friend "Mr. CEO" will come back on the scene with some more predictions of doom and gloom. He has been as strangely silent as Mr. North. Wonder why?

-- fearless fred (computergeek75@hotmail.com), January 03, 2000.

DB,

Yes,he has posted on occasional Sundays. Anyone who has read much of North knows that he is not a "strict Sabbatarian" as someone on another board put it. He disagrees with the strict Sabbatarian wing of the Reformed theology camp.

And besides, how do you explain his silence all day Saturday? Is he now a Seventh Day Adventist AND a Presbyterian?

-- fearless fred (computergeek75@hotmail.com), January 03, 2000.

Whether GN posts on the sabath or not, or whether it has only been one day or two..-- It feels like a week of silence to me given the seeming nonevent nature of this thing.

-- Feeling Gullible (garys@loyal.reader), January 03, 2000.

Actually Fred, that is incorrect. Jim Lord posted to TB2000 Sunday afternoon (about, I dunno, 25 - 30 post down I guess).

-- Mello1 (Mello1@ix.netcom .com), January 03, 2000.

I can only speculate but Garys site was getting hit hard to where he couldn't even post to it. I noticed that all recent postings are only upto dec. 13th and possible Gary is having some servor problems of his own due to traffic.

-- Randall (gofishn1@cyberhighway.net), January 03, 2000.

Jello 1,

I never said Lord hadn't posted. You might want to read the posts before replying to them. I was replying to a post about GARY NORTH, which is the subject of this thread....in another post, in reply to someone else, I mentioned Lord. BTW, will you still be here in June claiming that it's too soon to say we are out of the woods?

-- fearless fred (computergeek75@hotmail.com), January 03, 2000.

Hey Fred!,

Enjoy those leeks and garlic!

They look good on you.

A little bit of TBN to make you feel better?

FSI!,

Rat,

Why do you hate R L Dabney, one of the greatest theologians ever, so much that you feel compelled to disgrace his name by attaching it to your idiocy? What did he ever do to you?

-- Forget It (computergeek75@hotmail.com), January 03, 2000.

Dear Fearless - I'll be honest with you. I haven't READ everything by Gary North.Have YOU? He's written a heck of a lot. And I came to this thing late. I've been reading his Y2K site since about March of 1999. I've read most of his Reality Checks. I have no idea if he's a Seventh Day Adventist. But he put up at least a couple of posts on Saturday, which wasn't too bad, seeing as he was getting hacked at the same time.(and thanks to Sheri for that info). I guess I don't understand what you all are looking for from him. I have a feeling that, when he does speak, he's going to say basically what the others have said: the Year 2000 didn't begin and end all on one day.

-- DB (tomG@h.com), January 03, 2000.

DB,

Yes, I have not only read, but I also own, many of North's books. I used to be one of his loyal fans. But what he has done with this Y2K thing is simply inexcusable. And it was all for money. And anyone who believes otherwise, or thinks that "Y2K hasn't even started yet", is kidding themselves. Peace.

What are you looking for -- a burning bush -- fiery angels -- a female willing to have sex with you...?

BTW -- North has asked you to go to mirror site because of overload on his main site. That means, to the clueless, to go to mirror site because of overload on his main site.

-- A (A@AisA.com), January 03, 2000.

A,

Get a clue-we have all been to ALL the mirror sites, and nothing is posted on those either. But I'm sure that it's due to somebody "hacking" his site. SURE IT IS. Dream on.....

-- Forget It (computergeek75@hotmail.com), January 03, 2000.

For anyone interested, Gary North has 2 posts for 1/3/00 on his numerical mirror site. One has to do with banking being the third component of the so-called iron triangle (including phones and power).Sites Cory Hamasaki as stating these are most vulnerable.

He also posted that his site was hacked 1/1/00 and would fix and maintain his site regardless of y2k outcome so that folks have a chronicle of what happened.

This is posted for the few who are interested; for the "little people" who love to insult, please go back to school and take "Class" or "Manners" #101.

Gary North is definitely not a Seventh Day Adventist.

-- Jo Ann (MaJo@Michiana.com), January 03, 2000.

Regardless of what sort of religion he might be into, Gary North certainly looks like bit of a dickhead right now!:~) ...Like, even stupider than he looks in that photo the pollytrolls show. It would suit me just fine if this keeps up all year. I'm not entirely confident that this will be the case. But I'm more confident than I have been since I first learned about y2k. There remains the prospect of some serious problems, but things are looking very smooth.

The world is a suprising place. And unwelcome suprises lurk.
