Anyone else out there seeing weird dates on their PC's? I'm running windows 95 on a 486 that was upgraded to 133MHZ.

get a Mac ... your problems will go away forever

So, fix it.....take you all of 10 seconds!!

We've discussed this before.....the time/date on Windows machines does occasionally jump out of whack and can be triggered by many things......but rarely serious......

I agree with Craig...

I was having a problem at work with my PC. Every time I started the machine it would say 11:59am.

But I installed Mcafee's virus scanner and there has not been a problem with the PC's time since. I guess that it solved the configuration all by itself.

Very weird. Sometimes these problems can be solved with a very far- out solution... so keep your opinions open to new ideas.

I've heard of a 486 that booted to 1994. The date could be changed to 2000, but once in windows, it was showing 2094. At this point it got errors trying to send e-mail. Windows 3.11 using netscape 3.04 with Shiva dial up.

I still haven't troubleshot it to find a solution. Right know it is using 1999 as the date.

I just posted to the previous question - and here again - I second Ed's opinion (which is correct) - and will say again - I LOVE my Macintosh!!!

This is probably the (relatively obscure) Award 2094 BIOS bug. Here's a page that claims to have a fix (I don't have one of these machines so I can't verify that the fix works):

This is my first time posting here, so I'm going to *try* making a link, but I don't know if it will work.
