My credit unions online site is messed up!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

I have been lurking here for 11 months now. I GI and after reading most of the posts of the last two days, decided to see how my credit union had handled the rollover. I can access all of my '99 account records through 12/21/99, but when I try to access January 2000, the site pulls up March and April of '99. Even with no activity, my balance should be listed. I'm glad I've got CASH!

Another cut. "Death by a thousand cuts." We should be so lucky!

It could very well be that they had their accounting systems down over the weekend and haven't yet updated the online database for January yet. Check it tomorrow. I'll bet it will be fine.

Many businesses won't bring their systems back online until Sunday night or Monday. Some even later until they can be assured the Internet virus and hacker attacks have settled down.

I'm sure Flint can explain what is happening. He and his gubmint spinmeisters proudly proclaimed yesterday morning that all of the systems of all financial institutions are "functioning normally." They probably won't be able to do anything that actually resolves the problem, but they will try their darndest to make you forget about it. Hell, maybe they'll start another terrorism threat tomorrow so that everyone will be too scared to give a crap about their credit unions and banks! That seems to be their standard operating procedure.

Hawk; Come on friend. Let us refuse to fight. We can obviously use constructive input from anyone willing to give it. I know there have been lots of hatefull things said on both sides but TODAY has been soooo much more plesant and informative than before. Lets keep it rollin.

By the way; I am sorta fond of Osprey's which visit us during the summer months. Let us look forward to everyone flyin' high and hope we are wrong.

still waiting

Sorry if I sound a little peeved Michael, but I'm getting sick of the whitewashing by the media. Flint's "constructive input" yesterday was to label me an idiot because I saw through the smokescreen that the gubmint is still laying down.
