OT? - Price of Gas Is Going Up -

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Houston gas pump prices are rising. Have seen some pockets of no change, but most areas are rising. Since 12/31 it looks like a typical increase is .03 to .06 per gallon.

Anybody else see any changes?

What's going on at the gas pump?

Well, either they know something they aren't telling...or they are pissed because only us 'nuts' bought gas for the rollover, so they're punishing the Pollies who will need gas MUCH sooner than those of us who prepped. ;)

NYMEX crude and gasoline futures prices are gonna fall by over $1 a barrel and 3 cents a gal on Tues when the exchange opens again (The London IPE exchange is also down Mon) and continue sliding in early Jan. Your retail gasoline prices will also come off in a delayed reaction.

Refineries ARE running smoothly. The oil markets did a much better job of predicting rollover probs in the oil industry that this cybertribe did. If there were big probs in the embeddeds in the oil sector, at least a few refinery, tankers, pipeline, loading facility problems would have surfaced this weekend. I have a telephone and an e-mail service that works. I've been using it. There's too many local reporters, truck drivers, refinery workers and others who would be reporting mishaps.
