I just opened my most recent email at 8:15 PST tonight and copied it to this forum. Has anyone received anything like this ? Why would my bank decline something 23 days into the future and on a Holiday when no one is working ?

Note: my credit card does NOT expire 31-JAN-2000. Note: about six months ago, their system spewed out something similar when they were apparently remediating their system. They then sent out a "fuggaddaboudit" message.

Looks like not *all* the remediation "took".

Note: examine the timestamp.

Haven't we all been told again and again that some errors will be missed in remediation, and that remediation itself is likely to introduce some new errors?

Tom Carey - No Tom, the pollies have declared victory, there are no Y2k problems (it was all a hoax) and if something goes wrong with the software its because a car hit a pole.

{Don't ya just love sarcasm?}
