FWIW: A word I received

Happy New Year everyone!

Still glad I prepared, VERY glad to be able to take a hot shower, and no I don't believe it is over.

On rare occasion, I play what is sometimes called "Bible roulette," where I open the Bible (after feeling so "moved") and receive a "word" from God. This has proven itself time and time again. FWIW, this is what I received today. I wasn't thinking about it, but saw my Bible and opened it to the following part of Psalm 74:

"Is it in vain that I have kept my heart clean, washed my hands in innocence? For I am afflicted day after day, chastised every morning. Had I thought, "I will speak as they do," I would have betrayed your people. Thought I tried to understand all this, it was too difficult for me, Till I entered the sanctuary of God and came to understand their end.

You set them, indeed, ON A SLIPPERY ROAD; you hurl them down to ruin. How suddenly they are devastated; undone by disasters forever! They are like a dream after waking, Lord, dismissed like shadows when you arise."

Of interest with respect to the above, the preceding verse:

"Such, then, are the wicked, always carefree, increasing their wealth."

Interesting. I went to psalms today also. Just seemed appropriate.

Funny, I have been meditating on Psalm 119;26 lately:

"It is time for you to act, O Lord, for men have regarded your LAW as voic."

Bible roulette is no more accurate than, and has the SAME SOURCE as Tarot Cards...........

Of course you can do what you like but it is still basically fortune- telling......you are no better off nor worse off doing Bible roulette than you are playing the Ouija board......

I won't apologize EVER for saying that.....I know it is true.

Craig; There is no need to apologize for speaking the truth but do try to remember (next time I forget remind me please) we are all in different places along that path. It is better that one play Bible Roulette than that they play Tarrot because they have their face in the Word. The scripture cited does feel appropriate albiet there is no time frame. God does sometimes surprise us. I am of the mind He heard his children last night. Who (amoung believers) has not played Bible roulette at one time or another? Who (amoung believers) has not gained insight because of it?

Peace, may this moment in time mean what we all hope it means.
