Is anyone else shocked

Is anyone else shocked by the depth of the ignorance of the GI's? they never understood the problem at all. And I'm shocked that they could believe all the feel good coverage at rollover. Did you honestly believe that the mass nedia would interupt the party coverage with bulletins concerning Y2K failures? Even accidental every day failures had to be filtered for fear of causing the herd to panic. This mangement of Y2K failure reporting will continue as long as inhumanly possible. If they can manage to keep filtering and pacifying the herd for months they will. Stopping Legal litigation concerning failures will assuree the filters remain on. Beleive nothing, question all news that pertains to the Y2K failures issue. Did you really expect the world freeze up at midnight? I never believed we would lose our electricity. The grid was one thing they absolutely had to keep up and they had the resources to make sure it would stay up. Keep that up and they knew they could information manage the rest. Think about it!

Good observation...I think youre right. Since when has the govt and its media goons ever told us the truth about anything of importance? They have a vested interest in the telling of more lies...their jobs of controlling the sheeple.

Well said ... I was/ am not confident that we won't lose parts of the grid but now am having trouble discerning where to draw the line on paranoia ... stay tuned

Good points Leonard. I think many of us are concerned about "looking stupid." We have already had to take the heat for preparations and now we have to remain vigilant in the face of a supposed world-wide roll-over without a SINGLE MAJOR FAILURE! We know in our heads that only time will confirm or debunk our concerns, but in our hearts we have wanted to be vindicated (without anyone getting hurt of course). As for me, I'm holding on to my food and cash for awhile.

Don't worry about looking stupid. Tell the people who ridicule you that it was insurance, just like any other kind, and if anyone was foolish, it was they, for not having any. Ask if they have home insurance. Almost certainly they do. Ask them WHY they do, since a house fire or calamity is unlikely, but if it does occur, it will be devastating.

Almost all my preps are still useful things that I will use up, and the lifestyle changes and info I gained will still be useful later on. So it's not as if they were wasted.

In any case, I expect failures to crop up, and I also expect that our media/govt will keep the lid on telling us about them too. We'll see how it goes.

Remember it behooves all organizations that have had any failures or will have any failures to keep them a secret as long as possible. The media was not only doing it's own filtering, but was also being given filtered information. Lets face it boys and girls. The truth will be difficult to ascertain for some time to come. Believe nothing. Question everything.

It's somewhat ironic seeing this and similar posts appearing on a database-backed website, connected to the internet.

If the cheery good news were simply due to media spinmeistering, do you really think you'd be posting to this site? Or that I - with my computer connected to Boston's power grid - would be reading it and responding?

Ignorance may be bliss, but apparently it hasn't led to The Rapture, not this year, anyway...

Shocked! I am shocked and OUTRAGED! Thank you for that Leonard.
