Swear to God!

I was just about to post all is well in Silicon Valley.

It was a slight dimming, just after midnight, then a hard shut down for about 10 seconds. Then back up. Good ole PG&E!

Phones worked, and I immediately called Rick Cowles at the MSNBC command station. (Quit laughing Rick! I can still hear you!)

Whew! The gods must be laughing with you!

Diane, heart still pumping like Id had 10 lattes!

Take good care Diane! Thanks for letting us know. All still seems fine here in downtown Portland, OR

12:20 slight dimming.

Big deal Diane--our power here in my neck on the woods in Butte County was out for little more than an hour. I posted via my little 300 watt gennie.

Only ten seconds? Jeeez you guys are weak in [snip location--Sysop].

Glad to hear all is well there my friend. Amazing thing about humor, can cure many ills ... ;-)

Hugs and Blessings,

Ten latte's? Sheesh! Calm down :) Maybe it is time for a soothing hot shower and a real latte? After that go to the FRL thread! Happy New Year Diane. All the best, always.

Hey Peace Farmer (peace-farmer@usa.net),

Sorry to hear your power's been out. I just didn't "expect it" after all the global "good news." Should'a expected the unexpected.

That's what's so funny!

;-D

Diane, prepared to camp at home

Calmer now Rob... with the giggles.

Love cosmic humor!

Still bourboned out and still say 'No Way'.

-- lisa (lisa@work.now), January 01, 2000.

Yeah "way" Lisa.

Got witnesses too.

Think a spot of dark rum 'bout now would be in order.

"Power Out" hmmm...does this mean the batteries are low or you forgot to boot the inverter?

Oh, "never mind" (per Anna Rosanna Dana)...guess my powers "been out" for a few years now :@). Burning sunshine and wind...

Best Wishes for a great New Year All....Don

As usual, you're full of shit. Any chemical plant explosions? Will you support an allegation for once? Not likely.

No how, no way can my buddy D be more 'celebratory' than me.

It's hard to object to authenticy at this level, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

My friend turned the lights out at 12:00 mid. Califorina. Been drinking to much! Late and NOTHING HAPPENED!! Scared me and everyone else. I had been up 23hrs. It was scarry! For two seconds then FUNNY! Laughed!!I am glad I have friends to laugh with. I know it's not done yet,....

But we laughed and cried and waited!

These are GI friends. They are still waiting and so are we BUT,

NO NUKE BOMBS!

NO NUKE PLANTS MELTING or BLOWING-UP!

MY HUSBAND IS HOME!! NG.

Bring on the "2ond" depression. Chickens and fools I can do!!!

IF the Grid stays up WE can deal with it!!!

Hatti.

Hatti- I like your style! I second that! I went to sleep a few hours before midnight-(yawn)- hey- I'm a farmer, but I got up this a.m., got the electric system going- turned the inverter on, turned on the computer- and it all woked!! which is shocking given the age of theis computer- and we did nothing to it! Will check with neighbors later to find out about Vermont power- we're off the grid anyway, so I don't know.

Diane, I used to live near you in the Cambrian area of San Jose. Power was like a yo yo there. I had more brown outs/black outs there than I do at the beach in Santa Cruz. Hope all is well

Diane,

Hubby & I were staring at our Regulator Clock on the wall counting down the last few seconds until Midnight, Champagne & confetti in hand, the crowd in our family room whooping it up behind us, the lights flickered in the space between us & we locked eyes, our hearts skipping a beat, then it was 12:00 and all was well, but I think that split second took a few years off our lives, lol, you must have had an uncertain few moments (could this sentence get any longer? hee hee)!!

Happy New Year to you & yours & I am happy you are safe & well.
