Italy is AOK! It is looking very good! Happy New Year! Buon Anno! Auguri!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Things have been going splendidly here and around the world. Very few glitches noted and nothing serious thus far. As I write this, California is about to ring in the new year. I am very, VERY relieved! Somebody wrote that the embeddeds haven't kicked in yet, don't know about that....But I am THRILLED with what HASN'T happened thus far! Hip Hip Hooray!

But I'll still wait a while before letting down my guard. I've always had a full pantry. Mine won't go lower now. Take care and toasts to everybody!

Great news!

5 minutes to go in Silicon Valley. Looks like all is quiet, on the Western front.

Delicous New Year to you!

Diane

Ynott,

I said in another thread, a while back, that I would apologize to you if you actually lived in Italy...

From your subsequent posts, I can see that you currently do. (and am somewhat right in a presupposition, you are connected with the US Military).

Therefore, my apologies, ma'am.

Cordiali Saluti, e Felice Anno Nuovo.

Morgan,

Hey man, no sweat! The times are quite intense, are they not? :-)

Happy New Year! May all continue well, for you and yours, and for all of us!!

ynott,

I had a house full of folks here on Global Watch (in between party) and I thought of you and others I know in Italy as the century rolled over there.

Our concerns have been that you are in one of the hottest potential problem spots due to Itlay's lack of preparedness and the huge influx of pilgrims and tourists.

Looks like you may squeek through. Hallelujah!

Buon auguri to you. Keep us all posted.
