I am so happy to see I was wrong. I am in Arizona, so our roll-over isnt for a few hours, but I see that on the east coast everything is fine. Thank you all for your support in my worries. I don't feel stupid about preparing, because if anything like a earthquake ever happens, I have prepared. I admit it ...I was wrong, and damn thankful about it too. Peace to you all, and god bless.

Dunno if we're out of the woods just yet, many if not most systems affected by a date rollover are offline for the weekend. However ... if it really is an indication that this is a BITR, then that's great!

You shouldn't feel bad about preparing for a possible disaster. I've been preparing for months. I believe I am ready for anything that may come my way, may it be Y2K or any other problem that may arise.

I've gone through 2 ice storms in the North Country and multiple typhons overseas, never being prepared. The most recent ice storm put my family through 3 weeks without heat and almost 10 days without a phone. Lucky for the North Country, the weather wasn't that severe.

I can't say I would of done what I have done to prepare if I knew the Y2k bug may not amount to anything. But I will say I'm glad the threat was there because it made me prepare. I believe I am ready for any emergency that may come my way.

Glad to hear from you, Cody. We were on the phone [in spite of the national instructions not to pick up the phone] with my sister in Phoenix and it sounded like everybody was happy there.

What a great way to start the last year of the second millenium!
