Local WI news reports Power Company satellite glitch after GMT

Caught the tail end of this on my local news station out of Milwaukee. WEPCO said the satellite that synchronizes the time for the power companies had a "glitch" that they promptly fixed. This happened after GMT rollover.

Apparently this is a satellite glitch that occurs every New Year's Eve (according to WEPCO).

Yup,

youll see a ton of these incidents. As long as power stays up, any Y2k bug can be remediated as it manifests. The years of Y2k testing could never have fixed everything cause no one can imagine every possibility. I worry more when no one sees any problems. The ones we see are the easiest to fix. Coders keep coding and Y2k will remain a non event.
