THIS HAS BEEN A HOOT

I do not feel betrayed whatsoever. I have enjoyed this drama to the max. No book or movie could come close to this journey we have been on. Doomers and polly's alike have had to enjoy it. Good to see you not getting wacked Ladylogic. I must say that I would not apologize for any preparation I have made. I am far more educated in the area of survival than I would have ever otherwise been. Heck, if Hurricane Floyd had hit us here on Florida's east coast when it was a raging 5, today and tonight would have been a non-issue. Actually I am a bit amused now. I remember a few threads now that look rather humorous at this point. (and I participated in them) Such titles as: * FORUM POLL - Where are you on the Scale NOW? {I was a 7} * Text of President Clintons December 28 speech? * The First Post on This Board on 2000/01/01 * Good comebacks for people who say "I'll just come to your house" I remember some of the threads where sharing food was argued and many threatened to kill family, friends and neighbors. LOL, I still can't believe some of the stuff I have read. And then there was the thread where the discussion was how to go about committing suicide. Sheesh. I feel certain there will be Hershey and Fruit of the Loom type problems but YIIIIHAAAAAAAAAA we are gonna have power!!!!!!!!!!! (as long as we can get oil, coal and gas and that is still a bit up in the air) It has been an absolute hoot! And we have been on the inside folks. That is an honor. Never before has the whole world come so close to being brought to its absolute knees and we were able to watch. That is awesome folks! I believe the drama will continue for another month or so. I look forward to seeing what takes place ahead. Either way, I am so very glad that there were folks that sounded the alarm. They may be laughed at now but I believe that history will honor them. (at least some of them)

Oh for crying out loud in a bucket, I give up!

I agree.

This forum is by far the most entertaining (non-porn) site on the Internet. Absolutely every topic gets discussed here, in detail, by all kinds of people. I can't believe how much I've enjoyed it.

Whatever the outcome in 2000, I'm gonna miss it.

Virginian....THANKS...for posting the flag again. I had copied it to a folder and then *lost* the folder. I LOVE it !!!!!!!!!!

I have enjoyed this forum greatly Virginian!!!! I love the posters here and am looking forward to communicating for a long time. Hopefully the chronic nature that is part of the Y2K issue comes out as well as the actual Roll. We are still in Ice filled waters.

Virginian,

I've been lurking all day, and this is the first post I've responded to; YOU SAID IT EXACTLY, and thank you for making the point so eloquently.

Virginian,

Ah, good ole electricity and telephones. I'm right there with you.

And, that is one cool flag you got there.
