Please clear up this mystery...Is this something you posted?

THIS IS AN URGENT MESSAGE FOR ALL MY READERS WHO HAVE INVESTMENTS

I'm posting this to all the forums because of the time-critical nature of the information.

Cascading Cross Defaults have begun in India, as I predicted. What this means is that non-compliant data is now spewing forth from computers in India and infecting computers in fianancial centers world-wide. Non-compliant chips in the Indian financial markets are now creating a situation that will make the Asian Economic crisis of '99 look like a walk in the park.

THE TIME IS NOW to get all of your money out, before the infection spreads further. Already reports are coming in from Thailand that bad data has corrupted over 500 mainframe computers in the (non-compliant) Bangkok market, which is open today.

I STRONLGY URGE each and every one of you to get online immediately, and remove your money before it's too late. THIS IS URGENT. Get out of your bunker if you have to, and get this taken care of.

I know only a small number of you are going to listen to this advice and DO SOMETHING about it. It is for that Remnant that I send this message.

For the rest of you, I want to ask one question: What will you do if you're not able to provide for your family in one month? What about in two months? How about in three months? Will bankruptcy, divorce, and the break-up of your family seem any easier to bear in three months? Will being unable to feed your children make you happy that you chose to leave your money in unrecoverable investments overseas, that are now beyond repair?

As a wise man once said "Fools rush in, where angels fear to tread". I believe that over the past year, with the bubble economy created by the overheated stockmarket, it's been a fool's gold mine. Now is the time for the wise to heed the call.

NO! "STRONGLY" is spelled incorrectly in a very prominent place -- just the way Gary uaully puts up his latest links page -- with errors. That's the one thing that really argues for authenticity even in the face of a bad e-mail! I love a good mystery.

It is definitely posted at the above URL on one of Gary's forums. The poster is "Gary North" (gary@historian.com). If it is not THE Gary North, I'm sure he'll hop in pretty quick to set the record straight.

"Gary, if this is really your post, please send it out on the remnant-request mailing list as verification of authorship."

I got on his list a few days ago and have only received the one obligatory 'welcome' email thus far, so the list is working.

At this point, I am calling it a hoax. Reason: The message is only posted on Gary's several open forums. None of the closed forums (reporters, pastors, physicians) has the urgent post. Obviously, the real Gary would have access to the closed forums and would have likely posted there as well.

FWIW, to other small potatoes: Either way, I went ahead and hit the ATM to withdraw my rent, so thanks for the tip, right or wrong, I should have done it earlier today anyway after I verified the pay deposit. I planned to leave the rent money in, so now I pay cash, big deal. I'm only small potatoes, no investments, but my ATM spit out a nice stack of $20's, at the $700 limit, no prob, so I've got rent plus some and now can sleep well, rather than wondering. 8:23pm EST.
