How are the Water Desalination Plants in Middle East???Anyone know...

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Has anyone contacts in Middle east - I always thought the remediation of the Water Plants there could be a big problem. Maybe the Oil companies had an interest in keeping them going (even oilmen get thirsty, they don't drink whiskey/beer all the time) and encouraged the fixing of these Desalination plants. Hope it is not still a consideration.

Earlier posts on this y2k board, one with an article about Exxon, who said things were looking good.

Story came accross the wires earlier today about the big 4 getting together at 2200 gmt to discuss oil matters. The meeting would be Saudi, Mex, and Vens and the US.

It did not say any more than that, only that they would discuss the status of oil supply.
