I want to share with you a message from my daughter in Austin Tex. She emaled me just now. Her husband is a computer scientist.

Mom Dad Fred is on line with Australia and they are very high tech It has been 2hours since the roll over and all systems go! Japan just went as well all systems go! This is fun. There was a neat story out of Sydney Australia. There was a drunk man that turned Christian on the streets of Sydney and when he found Christ for several years he wrote in chalk all over the city the word ETERNITY, he wanted to tell people about his faith and eternity with Christ. Anyway Sydney in their harbor festivities lite up the word Eternity in honor of this mans amazing faith! Hope all is well tammy

"Mr Eternity". I remember him well, used to see him every day while waiting for the bus to get me home from Sydney Grammar School. Not that I knew he was the graffitist until many years later.

I can confirm your story, BTW. The graffito "Eternity" appeared pretty much everywhere in Sydney in the late 60's, and early 70s, well before Graffiti as such became the art form and public nuisance it was in the 80s.

Oh yes, it's now 0416 in Canberra (and Sydney), and All's Well.

I watched the fireworks in Australia and the story is true. The man would go around Sidney with chalk and write ETERNITY.

That was in the 1950's. After the firworks ended the word ETERNITY was written up in lights.
