I'm serious...WHY DON'T THEY SHOW US ANY CELEBRATIONS FROM CHINA, JAPAN, SINCE ROLLOVER?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

If the producers of these "news" specticles had 1/2 a brain in their head they would flip back to live celebratons in areas that have rolled over to reassure US! Can it be that they CAN'T?

Even if they did, how do you know if they're being faked or not. Some people still think the moon landings were faked.

FWIW

WASHINGTON, Dec. 31, 11 a.m. -- The International Y2K Cooperation Center reports 20 countries have rolled over to 2000 and the only problem so far is some phone congestion in Asia due to high volume, not Y2K bugs.

I've listened to some radio from New Zealand and everything sounds good. Heard the tail end of the news, mainly sports scores and a Toyota dealer ad. Now they are playing music.

just a thought......china and japan have different calendars than us. the year of the mule or the emperor with no clothes etc. for them this is just a technical issue. i'm not under the impression these countries had celebrations planned ( could be wrong )so no reason to show these areas as part of "worldwide" celebration of the " millenium ", unless some major technical problems surface.

wouldn't you rather be riding a mule in the year 2000 ?

As of 11:05 am CST, Zone 2000 had a couple of posts from China and Japan saying that things were fine there. I've also seen Reuters wire reports from Singapore and Hong Kong saying that they had no Y2K problems so far.

But how do we know these news events aren't STAGED? I think they are. The government doesnt want us to know the true extent of the disaster. The so-called doommers are correct and vindicated.

Wondering What,

You brought it up. Is the bar hoax or no hoax?

The nastier details can be found in Jonathan Eisen's Suppressed Inventions.
