uh, BigDog, would this also not be a good day to refrain from cutting and posting newspaper articles? The news now will be breaking rapidly and won't show up in papers.

Links, perhaps?

Everybody is excited and posting every rumor they can come up with. At the rate we're going we're going to have have over 1000 threads in one day, and crash the server again.

We need to try to limit the threads to new incident reports and only one thread for each incident. If we can keep on topic and keep the number of different threads to a minimum we won't be hitting the server with so many different requests.

The largest chemical company in Switzerland has lost all data connections to Sydney shortly after midnight in Sydney (2:00PM in Switzerland). No emails can be sent at the moment and no data transfers are possible. We are working on the problem. I'll keep you uptodate. Angie

Please post the full-text where possible... for the archives. Those news links disappear fast!

It is not necessary to post threads that ask for reports from specific areas. People will post as they always have to the forum -- when there is something to say.

Again, please be respectful of the enormous load on the server today.
