Turkey resets computer to 1995 to avoid problems...

...this was done to a computer monitoring an Iraqi oil pipeline. Was it really that simple to avoid y2k? Can they just keep resetting dates?

First off, they should have set it to 1972 (same days, same dates, leap year). What happens on Feb 29th?

Changing the year is fine unless they want to talk to another system.
