Remember talk last year about Solar Flares peaking at Rollover???

WELL guess what...Sun is showing signs of perhaps upstaging Y2K and Boris'Resignation... So maybe embeddeds knock down all infrastructure and Russia nukes us and vice versa... What could be worse, right???

Try a solar coronal mass ejection of an X-ray class level that fries Planet Earth??? Hmmm It could happen... some solar experts fear this cycle may be worse than any other... there has even been some talk that things are not right with the sun at all...defying solar theories to date... Some think the back part of the sun blew out a few years back...like early 1960s. I don't know about any of that... but take a look at this stuff from a rather "uniquely different" website called ORBIT. It's a little eccentric ... but note the live links to solar action...and note all the NASA satellite images from the SOHO solar satellite that monitors live photo images around the clock... note all the bizarre photo images... showing on 12/30/ a coronal stream that looks a lot like our number "6"... I'm not drawing conclusions here Just giving you a heads up to go look and think hmmmm... it's certainly interesting and maybe it will give some deeper perspectives and alter our thinking about what a "10" really is... Computer Y2K is not going to be a "10" like a CME from the sun could become should it happen... NOW that folks would be a real TEOTWAWKI wouldn't it? Watching the Nasa and Navy Lasco C3 sites last night I noted that no images were posted after 2318 UTC 12/29/99. Finally an image was posted at 4:18UTC 12/30/99.

Low and behold, it contained an image of a large solar prominence extending hundreds of thousand, maybe millions of miles from the sun, curl in on itself to form what looks like a giant number 6. In two years of looking at the daily images, I have not seen this before. The magnetic force at that distance must be very large.

A couple of weeks ago, somebody posted a claim that the solar flare activity was not going to occur until much later in 2000. DOES ANYONE HAVE THE LATEST AND GREATEST UPDATE to the status of this potential "double whammy" with Y2K?

RC: Last year the govt. commissioned a study on "the survivability of UVX radiation" Scarey. I thought maybe it had to do with possible nuke hazards this year but researching revealed that UVX is solar radiation. I hope they weren't studing it for the reasons you've mentioned here but suddenly I'm wondering if maybe all this massing of the troops and FEMA, fortified bunkers and such is for much, much more than just Y2K. I'll go look for the article FWIW, and post.

Visible from Earth. I thought I was just going blind. huh. Another benefit of chemtrails, block the radiation, heh. So what the hell? I assume the center disc represents the relative size of the sun. On the SOHO pictures the circle in the center is a special screen inside the camera imaging to block out the sun from harming the imaging system and allowing the corona to be studied. It's same principle as an eclipse...idea is to study what is ejected from solar surface.

Umm... Guys, I just checked out the Orbit site to check out the sun. I'm amazed that anyone can really take it seriously. It's a FANTASY/SCIENCE FICTION/JUNK SCIENCE site. This is hardly what I would call an authoratative site. For example, there is a section a bit down the page called THE EXPERIMENT. Click on the link and it brings you to this page where you can find the following story:

Thus was the scenario that brought in the involvement of the Galactic Federation. In an unprecedented move, the Federation called upon its planetary members to devise a solution to eliminate or control this imminent problem. Because of this complex task a number of worlds were involved in working on this solution.

It goes downhill in believability from there. RC, you are so good at spotting all the lies and spin of government officials, CEOs and Banking shills, yet you believe anything you read off this site. No wonder you have such trouble separating fact from fiction. You are in your own little world. What makes you think that those photos of the sun are genuine and not the result of some fancy computer graphics? And even if they are genuine, what makes you think the person behind this site, or you for that matter, have the necessary background to interpret the significance of the pictures?

Sheesh, some people will believe anything. Unless, of course, it comes from a government spokesperson.
