I would like to suggest that when posting a message to report a local problem, such as a local supermarket out of something, or a gas station with long lines or out of gas, that we add a location. It doesn't have to be exact, but generalized such as "eastern Texas" or "northern Virginia". That way, we'll be able to get a handle on a geographic area where problems are occuring, especially if several people post similar shortages from the same general area.

Okay, in the spirit of this forum, I will report a grocery store that is mysteriously closed in the Greater San Francisco Metropolitan Bay Area. It might have to do with the fact that it's almost midnight, but I'm not sure. Also, there seems to be some traffic on Highway 101, especially on weekdays between 6-9 A.M. and 5-7 P.M., but lately (the past week) it's been quieter. I did see a California Highway Patrol officer today on 101. It looked like he was talking to the operator of a motor vehicle that was stopped in the freeway shoulder, but I couldn't hear what there were talking about since I was driving by at 60 mph. Well, it's getting rather busy in the stores here in Oklahoma City.

Strangest thing, though.... we top off our tanks after listening to the radio for cheap gas prices, grab two 12-packs of soda on sale, then buy the most expensive "Works" car wash! The line for the car washes are tremendous here! We would be devastated by a loss of water here - not because we might get thirsty, but we just can't stand for our "vee-hickles" to look dusty. (SUV's reign supreme on our streets - HA!)

Water and food are flying off the shelves here, too. We've had bomb threats downtown and they've called off some of the festivities due to those. When we hear the word "bomb" here, we listen!
