Thank you for the site. But what is the criteria for colors?

Sincerely,

Yellow means "Problems" (Y2K, I assume) encountered.

Translation of the Nicaraguan water situation from Spanish to English (courtesy of Alta Vista's horribly inaccurate but often amusing Babel Fish:

General Comments: A 15% of the capital are with limited water availability due to an investment of the water of the lagoon that provides the water to this sector of the capital. The water of the depth of the lagoon is in the surface and the one of the surface to the bottom of the lagoon, the lagoon is of volcanic crater origin in addition to the climate and the atmosphere helped to that it happened east event. Because the water is taken from the surface cut the provision of water not to distribute water suspended (of the depths) and with perjudiciles quimicos to the health.

How widespread is the problem? The distibucisn of the water was cut and it leaned in other sources to provide the water to the population. Although they do not count on the normal availability, they tell in its majority with partial availability or little pressure to the affected zones.

When will it be operational? This event happened in January 1999 and required 10 days to return to normality, reason why contingency plans are being prepared to supply in their totality to the population with the vital liquid. One hopes that in the next days the waters return to their normality.

[end]

January 1999? Rather odd. Not sure what to make of this info.

I just went to the site you mentioned. I can't see even see the names listed for Nigeria and Nicaragua. Can you direct me? I did see a yellow under Air Transportation in Sir Lanka and Gov't services in Gombe (sp) however. Where I work we import raw materials from Sir Lanka. Hope we still can next week.
