I have two very dgi sisters that booked a millenium vacation in Vegas. I tried for months to get them to cancel & they just blew me off , acted like I fell of the deep end somewhere. Today,they called my mother & said they were catching a flight back home tomorrow (amen) sooo, what finally convinced them that being in Vegas tomorrow nite is not a good idea. My mother said they didn't say why.

I know why. They ran out of money, that's why. Being broke in Vegas sucks.

Just got back home from Vegas (1hr away,) nothing unusual going on. Sams Club very busy, about half the carts had TP and water in them, but still some available. Highway from So. Cal. very busy with sheeple with more money than good sense.

They probably lost their money. Happens a lot in this state.

I found out they went to lauflin , & the motel they where staying at , all,but 28 reservations had been canceled . they said it was like a ghost town. They found out that there had been a bomb threat to the hoover dam ( a rumor or scare-I don't know) Anyway ,they got spooked & decided not to hang around & find out. I'm just very relieved that they did decide to come back home here in s.ohio. Some of the the famiy still think I'm nuts for being concerned about y2k--got a gas mask & tin foil hat for christmas
