FWIW...friend just called and asked me why I did not tell him the gas stations were gonna run out gas before the rollover....

my buddy who only kinda got it just in November after hearing countless speeches from me, called me from his cell phone about 2 hours ago and said that he was at the Shell station where he always buys gas and they are out of all gas except premium. This would be in the N.E. Ohio area for fyi purposes.

Vern,

Just wait until tomorrow when all of our collective eyes will not believe that soooooo many people literally waited until the night before.

Vern:

Really, that's funny! Poor sap.

Somewhere back in time I remember learning about stages of mind-set folks go through when change is forced upon them: denial, anger, depression, acceptance.

We all went through these as we've learned about y2k and prepared for it--in the face of adversity.

Most people may now be leaving "denial" and entering the wonderful world of "anger".

Life will be hard for them--and us.

Sorry Folks, no herds at gas stations in Fl., nor in grocery stores. Signed: Two autos, filled to brim.

No gas lines here in the Cleveland, Ohio area. Only a few cars, if that. All quiet here late Thursday evening.

All quiet here, gas stations are nearly deserted, and nobody has run out. However, I did find one pump out of order.

Orange County California

Ralphs here in Fullerton is a zoo and most of the bottled water was gone at 6:00 PM. A local Costco had a line of 100 people waiting to get in according to local TV. Gas Stations I saw were normal.

Kurt those four stages were described, if I am correct by Elizabeth Kubler Ross, in her book, "On Death And Dying" to describe the stages a person goes through after discovering they have a terminal disease.

Ironic, to say the least.
