How sick are you of ?Y2K speculation? Will you heave a sigh of relief when January 2nd comes?--Al

y2k is to me like death and taxes it's gonna come whether we want it or not. my apprehension ? a few staples, a little food to eat that doesn't require cooking, some jugs of water and filling the bath tub with water for flushing purposes. if a long term shutdown occurs, what we have won't last all that long--no matter how much food, clothing and ammunition we stash away. apprehension - - i'm gonna lay back - not worry and live life without waiting with bated breath for the other shoe to drop.

I really think the whole Y2K end of the world stuff is just a bunch of bunk. Honestly, I think there could have been a problem if people hadn't prepared by fixing potential computer problems, stuff like that. But things have been fixed. I think that any bugs will be few and far between. I do believe, however, that there is a ton of potential for terrorism at the turn of the year. People get crazy at times, and the whole End of the World thing has made it even worse. Provided no one sets off some huge atomic bomb, the world isn't going to end. I am glad that I'm staying in the area for New Year's. I wouldn't want to be traveling. Not for fear of computer glitches, but for fear of what others are going to do.

Even though I don't believe in any of the worries that the media have put into our heads, the whole thing doesn't really bother me. I find it somewhat amusing that certain people think the worlds going to end because it's a new millenium. Come on folks, it's just another 'happy' new year.
