greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

This just startted and once I click on a thread I can't get anywhere. I have gotten out by hitting bookmark and restarting. Any ideas?

LadyLogic-less has been spamming the board all night. Most of the reg's are staying away. The forum is under attack.

Yes. It's not Y2K, but a terrorist attack masterminded by LADYLOGIC.

Dinty it looks like a server overload problem. There must be a lot of readers pulling down threads or downloading site files.

Which browser are you using?

Mine is Netscape 4.7

Use the shift key! You can't get locked into anything!

She can actually do this??? How can that be done?

-- More Dinty Moore (dac@ccrtc.com), December 28, 1999.

BiGG......yes you can. I used the shift key idea for the first time just a couple of minutes ago and got locked on Uncle Bob's topic. Had to go to favorites to get out. Also got the error 'This page cannot be displayed' after clicking on about five topics and getting the same message for each.

Sorry for the bad advice, I have been getting the error message occasionally but when using the shift key can't you just "x" out of that window?

LadyLogic's time is soon up. We now the conection at Princeton who is working with the server admin. We've have been able to track down time/location events for Logic's spamming hits. It's only a matter of time till we nail this person. Don't be deceived all Ladylogic posts are not from one person. We've tracked two almost simultaneous hits from 2 different geographic server origins. When we get the right signature he/she/it is done. The fine starts at 5 grand per conviction.
