I'm in Howell. It's cold tonight -- in the 20s probably. Short on rain. WalMart okay, still can get stuff; Aldi's had some empty spots on eve of 24th. Neighbors have concerns, mostly farm folk, usually prepared for typical "bad weather". Many cattle ranchers have sold down stock due to grass being so short & hay expensive. Grain is cheaper than I've seen it in almost 15 years. E's real.

Other questions?

I live near Hickory county, not much going on here, but its an extremely rural area, so most ppl normally stock up for the winter months, and bad weather. We've got a wood stove, plenty of food stocks, and stock tanks to fill with water, ect and so on. M-in-law has a hand drawn well down the road, but unfortunately, as far as food stuffs and heat, she and the other in laws refuse to take us seriously. They arent the farmer type, so they wont be "accidentially" prepared either....I went to walmart on sunday, picked up some gas cans, and some last minute stuff.... the 5 gal cans were 1/2 gone, but the rest were full, and propane cans and camping stuffs were in abundant supply. The thing i noticed the most was that all i saw other people buying was clearance christmas stuff.....I didnt see ONE person getting anything other than fun stuff, maybe theyre already stocked.. (?) I guess itll come up and bite someone in da rumpus soon.......i guess what irks me, is we will have to be giving what we have worked hard to store up, to my in laws who have been poo pooing it all along..(and there's 5 of them). If only theyd listened, it sure would make it lots easier on the rest of us in the long run. Blessings to all :) Cindy
