What happened to the Altlanta/Olympic Bomber?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Hi. First time posting, only answered one question yesterday, so forgive me if I get this wrong.

Does anyone remember the FBI manhunt for the suspect in the clinic bombings who was also a suspect in the Atlanta city (Olympic) bombing? The FBI had called in the troops, and scoured the hills/forests and caves in the areas they thought he was in, but did they ever catch him? I don't recall any news report to that effect. Does anyone have an idea where he might be? I ask this because I think it's more than likely we will experience some terrorism at rollover, and think it will be just as likely from homegrowns as from any other source.

And THANK YOU to everyone who has posted. You all have reached me and hubby early enough to be prepared...what for, we're still not sure, but we're prepared. Thank you, Thank You, THANK YOU! And THANK YOU again. :) Lesser of two evils

The individual you refer to is still at large (missing).

As to your other question: Does anyone have an idea where he might be?

oooo...ooooo... I know!

The FBI is holding him until next weekend, when they plan to let him loose to do as much damage as possible so as divert the public's attention away from Y2K!

FBI/ATF heads claims they "think" he is dead, but are continuing their search.

Nothing has been found to indicate he is dead or alive, no houses in the area have been broken into or disturbed either, so there is no evidence that he is still out and about. Don't knwo how many are still active on the case: Reno had as many as 150 agents on duty at one time.

'Course, she had nobody to investigate Chinese nuclear thefts, or bribery, or satellite designs.....but plenty of people to check on one criminal fitting their ideal bait: white, Southern, rural, .....

Recently I saw an article where the ATF thought Eric Rudolph was still in a cave, and dead. Very unlikely. He has many local sympathisers. They never found the guy who fired into the ATF office there in ANdrews, NC, grazing an agent's scalp, nor will they ever find him, either. The local mountain people want the Feds gone, their distrust of the gov't runs too deep. The feds will eventually leave, too, or the locals will take care of the situation. These are mountain people, they are different. Some things are beyond the government's powers, that's all there is to it.

I'd say he headed for the northwest and kindred spirits.
