Today's Wall St. Journal: "Firms Express Confidence in Exterminating Y2K Bug", "Federal Agencies Say They Are Ready...", etc. Again, would some kind soul please post the text?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Pages A3, A10.

I haven't read it all yet, but it appears to be yet more unverified happy-face stuff, for the most part, except there's lots of it. Possible supplier problems are mentioned but de-emphasized.

Thanks for help in posting the text.

Yeah, it's amazing to pick up almost any daily newspaper today, and see all this. It's almost like they are afraid people might panic and do something that is not desirable. Like to to the bank and withdraw their money in CASH.

But of course not. I mean, if Y2K were going to be bad, they would have told everyone MONTHS AGO to prepare. Right?

Ladylogic,

Thanks for your help, but it looks like you didn't get the right story. See pages A3 and A10 of the WSJ and go by the titles I've posted. Let me know if your electronic edition is different.

Also, don't they leave some of your stuff on? Do they really delete 100%?

King of Spain,

Yep, the press plus the government have succeeded in putting the populace to sleep.

But enough of that. Let's get serious. Why haven't you ever asked me to mudwrestle? You know, I'm starting to feel left out. Gregg once asked me, I ignored him, waiting to hear from you, and now I'm beginning to regret it. He's a nice guy, and I'm starting to think I lost a pretty good opportunity.
