I think I've seen it all...

I was in the grocery store the day before Christmas. They have "Y2K Spam" in cans with cammo labels. (I guess it was only a matter of time!)

I particularly liked the Titanic Swim Team T-shirts I saw last week.

Raley's supermarket has T-Shirts with a huge circle with Y2K centered insde the circle and a line crossing out Y2K. Doesn't appear as if they have sold any. They also had Y2K tapes on a discount tape priced at $19.99, marked down to $9.99 - still no takers. Albertson's has "Y2K Emergency Energy" bins = $39.99. It includes a flashlight, 1 gallon of water, 1 propane cylinder, 1 candle, (couldn't see what was underneath), it was syran wrapped. I asked the clerk if they have sold any and she said no, they hope they do because they have tons of them in the back room....same store that handed out the free Red Cross Y2K tapes a month ago.

I particularly liked the camo Pampers at the local Wally World.

I liked the Tootsie Rolls in the "Y2k compliant bank" -- a tube with a slit in the end.

KOS: LOL!! Only in YOUR dreams!

Not a sign of preps around here. Our little town of retired farmers is sound asleep. The ONLY person I know of for certain who is preparing is the postmaster, and he is only preparing for himself and his family, not the office. The only others I can think of who might be concerned would be fire, police, and EMT's, who have obviously received the memos and updates. If they aren't preparing, I don't want them to know that WE are!!

The local Wal-Mart had a number of Y2K preparation items promenently displayed on Christmas Eve day. Water cans, gas cans, oil lamp kits (2 oil lamps + oil). On the other hand, I found some marked down lamp oil (Christmas colors) in the back, which I bought.

SPAM in cammo cans? I wish I had found some, especially in time to send to my relatives for Christmas! (LOL)
