Y2K and a box of chocolates

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Just got off the phone with my friend Helga. She was very upset. Apparently, US security thingy's blew up a present she sent to her brother Fritz. The present contained a Kinder Surprise and a Hardknox cd.

What a pity. I let her know thatthis incident was due to Y2K hysteria currently taking over the United States.

Y2K hysteria? The gift box was blown up since it contained a software bug that can crash computers? What did they think it had, CD's of Microsoft software?

It was blown because of the fear of explosives. Please learn the difference.

Bernard,

Merry Christmas. Also....

.....you're an idiot. If you need a defition of that term, look in archives under K. Decker, Lady(sans)Logic, or Y2KPro-lapse. They will all serve nicely as examples.
