Did any one catch richardson say "Half a tank is OK for Y2K!". Even the talking heads Acnbc had a laugh and joked about the brilliant writers at the energy dept. He said this in reference to Not filling your gas tank at the end of the year. This statement reeked of desperateness. I'm sure things will be bad beyond theCDC.

They've always sweated the panic. That appears to be the one underlying theme to all of their actions. They threw out a few bones -- top of your gas tank and buy can or two of food -- and now find that even the bones should not have been offered. The next retraction: "DO Not Save Your Bank Statements."
