A test of our civilized society!

Achmed the rag head was arrested crossing the border with Canada loaded to the gills with destructive stuff, right? I heard tonight on the boob tube that he was offerd a deal if he cooporated with the authorities and he refused.

When you consider that the issue is the safety of this country and thereby the world, why haven't they tickled his testicles with a cattle prod? Our govt. has instructed many Asian and South American Policemen this exquistie method of interrogation, yet with the stakes this high, we have not used such methods? Sodium Pentathol, Alcohol, Drilling his teeth withou anesthetic. If the threat from this poor mother jumper was a real as they want us to believe, there would be no question.

Are we are soooooo good, soooooo civilized that he will have a lawyer and due process? Bullshit. If he was a real threat we would know exactly what the plan was. A piece of duct tape across his mouth and a zippo lighter under his nose and he would tell you everything you want to know. If you are careful with the lighter there would be no evidence anyway. I think that we know everything he knows by now, and possiby we know because we hired him.

We taught the world these methods. Don't you think there is anyone around who knows how to impliment them anymore? TPTB are going to make the public jump through the appropriate hoops for reasons that we can only guess at. I don't like what I am guessing.

Not only will he have a lawyer, we're all gonna pay for it!!

Your source that he hasn't talked is the major media. Helloooooo..... How often have they lied to the public before on intelligence matters?

If the guy had blabbed his guts out and you were the fbis would you broadcast this to his terrorist buddies so they could get revenge on his relatives? Not!

I don't like what you guessing either, Bill.

-- Greybear (greybear@home.com), December 22, 1999.

Bill's posts are *always* worth reading. I love how that retired policeman thinks.

I think Bill is right, the whole thing has been staged. Why would they broadcast their moves if they were really trying to find an accomplice?

I must agree with cbgb on this one. The point of this person from the terrorist perspective is negligible. Right now he is a hero among his people. From our perspective it iss to make public the situation on our terms and control the story in order to quell initial panic (remember how you felt the day they blew up the Murrah building in OK? Then add in the stock market).

They have probably got enough intelligence to know what is likely to happen in most instances, what is probably going to happen in others. There are bound to be surprises.

It is unlikely that there is enough police/military/volunteer power to cover every eventuality, but they will get some before. And for the rest. We wait.

Happy New Year everyone.

I don't think the FBI gives a rat's ass about his relatives, and the article I posted above shows that they ARE broadcasting their information, and their entire plan. The whole thing is too fake and obviously designed just to get maximum media coverage. If this were a REAL terrorist investigation we wouldn't hear about any of it until all of the suspects were apprehended.

Pack of lies, again and again. Want additional time out to investigate Teflon and fluoride? If you have enough gumption and fortitude to follow every nook and cranny. And you thought city pollution was affecting your health.

I feel very angry that they have coerced the media into silence on the biggest danger to this country since the Revolution. Instead, they are preparing a big lie to explain why so many will have died and suffered.

Do you all doubt that the media was told not to do any real shows on Y2K? You think it was simply stupidity? No. They were not allowed to go in-depth on this.

Even the three officers who caught the guy have been put on parade in Washington for a smiley-face press field day. If I had nabbed the bad guy, I wouldn't want my face on CNN, CBS, ABC and NBC, etc. And the point is neither would my boss.

-- snooze button (alarmclock_2000@yahoo.com), December 23, 1999.

This could be real but it could easily all be a lie or a fake or the guy is a patsy. So many guillible, nay i say (racist), Americans will easy swallow the "brown-skinned enemy story" hook, line & sinker....

-- INever (inevercheckmy@onebox.xom), December 23, 1999.

----pure fake-o. No way would a legit terr hunt go public, unless they were ALL caught. Just today on hotlanta a 40 person mass arrest, they were alledgedly working on this drug ring for 3 years, no pre- announcement 3 years ago. This and the other "terr" reports are strawdogs in advance to cover up malfeasance, bad code, worse chips, and an even more hideous plan of GENOCIDE.

"raghead"? Is that a subtle clue that you are bigot?

Al K.

No need to get so overly sensitive on these issues. Why must you always be so quick to scream "Bigot" at anyone using a non-pc name or label? Would you prefer "Achmed the Camel Jockey?"

Why would anyone try to sneak 100-200 lbs of ammonium nitrate into the country when you can buy it in any garden store?

-- goldbug (goldbug@mint.com), December 23, 1999.

Yup, I think They should be free to do the zippo thing to anyone who poses a threat to the country, like terrorist, militias and - just for example - folk who threaten to expose Their autonomy by making posts like this.

If They really existed, then even if you're on Their side, shouldn't you be worried that They might not agree?

Any minute now, you're going to explain who's going to make the decision about who should be safe from Them, and who should not. Day in, day out, 24/7/365, in all the grey areas.

Surprise me.

Bill is an ex-cop, but a full time asshole.

-- (get@lost.you jerk), December 23, 1999.

More likely it was Ahmed the farmer, who got caught with some of that evil Ammonium Nitrate in his truck, along with a soldering iron, alarm clock, and an old over-and-under shotgun behind the seat of his pickup. You know, that ammonium nitrate stuff that Timothy James Oswald...err McVeigh used to blow up that federal building. Timmy is so smart, he can make magic bombs that destroy hardened concrete support columns from 250 ft away in total contravention of all the known laws of physics.

I'm getting my boots on. It could get deep here...
