Watching our Northern border...

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

This morning on NBC TV news...they happened to give the exact unguarded location where one could cross the border from Canada. Are we helping the terrorists, or is this perhaps a trap?

***In Sumas, Wash., 120 miles north of Seattle, there is a simple marker no guards. There you can simply walk from Canada into the U.S. Its not secure at all, you can just walk across the ditch, said Dale Bradland, a Washington state sheriff. It depends on where you go, we have miles and miles of northern border, there are some areas that are not looked at all.***

Unless it's a trap. [g]

"If you cross here, we'll never catch you."

Let's hope that's how it goes, and the idiots *do* try to cross there, and they walk right into a nice trap.

Anybody can walk across the border thru the wilderness, which is most of the border anyway!!!

Not a very nice walk this time of year. Also difficult to bring your bombs without pack mules...... Abdul meets Lewis and Clark and ends up as the Donner Party.

Anyone who thinks this border crossing started the day they nabbed the Algerian? you are sadly mistaken. Tons of materials? are smuggled via Mexico every month/week. If there is a broad sweeping threat then they would try multiple entry points across a long time frame to maximize the chance many get through. So it is probably safe to assume they are here and they have staged material to make life uneasy.

If you live or work in a City KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN. This doesn't mean tackle anyone who looks middle-eastern it means look for strange behavior or out of place objects. As much as many citizens piss me off on a frequent basis I would protect any fellow citizen against some thug.

It would be wise not to attend a large event over the next two weeks. Good Luck and have a Safe Christmas.
