I just finished watching the Jimmy Stewart movie "Shenandoah" on the recommendation of others on this site. It's a fantastic movie and very timely given concerns over Y2K social disruptions.

Some important lessons from the movie:

1. Don't wear "the hat" (conferate or federal still gets you killed) 2. Don't leave the farm 3. A woman with a gun can get the drop on a dozen brawling men.
