*** Year 2000 (Y2K) System Update ***

eBay will be unavailable for two scheduled system maintenance times during Friday, December 31, 1999 and Saturday, January 1, 2000.

Please note that we have CANCELED our regularly scheduled time for Friday morning, December 31 (between 01:00 PST and 05:00 PST). Instead, we will have two maintenance times according to the schedule below.

The eBay system will be unavailable from 15:30 PST to 18:00 PST on Friday, December 31. The purpose of this maintenance time is to validate work performed in preparation for the year 2000. We do not expect to find any significant issues. However, we believe it is in the best interest of our community to do everything possible to ensure that our system is performing properly prior to the new millennium.

The eBay system will be unavailable for a second time from 23:00 PST, Friday, December 31 to 03:00 PST, Saturday, January 1. During this downtime, we will perform routine maintenance on the database and make one last Y2K-related check.

We have tried to minimize the disruption to your trading activity over New Years Eve. However, these two maintenance times are important to preparing for the New Millennium. As always, we appreciate your understanding.
