Art Bell: Rerun of interview w/Chris Carter of X-Files-GI

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Hi all, You may have discussed this in October when Chris Carter of X-Files was originally on Art Bell. Art is replaying this (I guess because his phones went out tonight). Chris Carter says he's staying home New Years Eve and thinks there will be Y2K events. He's a GI...of course he would be. Its a great interview. Praise to Chris Carter for a great program too - that is what I'll miss in Y2K if all comes crashing down!

I wouldn't call a tv show that, in a way, glorifies the FBI "a great program".

Man, it is all screwed up. On my station it started out with Art live and then they switched to a replay of Paul Hogue, but we didn't get Chris Carter. Now the segment that I just heard in the last half hour is replaying over again! Wonder what could be so bad that Art would decide to take the whole night off because of some wind.

The long distance service to Pahrump has been out since 5:30 PM or so. Businesses have been forced to refuse credit cards. I think he said his carrier is MCI. No long distance, no call-ins from anywhere but Pahrump.

Guess there was no way he could get his guest on the air then huh. Can't wait until everything is wireless, wires are a pain in the arse.

How joyless, Ocotillo. Bad personal experience? Or is it just not paranoid enough for you? Genuinely interested.
