Creswell OR-Police practicing "crowd control"

greenspun.com : LUSENET : TimeBomb 2000 (Y2000) : One Thread

Just saw T.V. coverage of armed police practicing controlling streets..... in that "hotbed of trouble", Creswell Oregon. Said they have Seattle as their example to learn from.

Mentions of helicopters ready-New police state chief-And "strictly business" attitude being taken by police.

Good grief ! It's going on everywhere! They are prepped for catastrophe and planning to squash any civilian problems with any force nesessary.

How did American citizens become "the enemy" ? How great an opportunity 'they' missed of getting honorable men (average people) to give support and rely upon their own citizens. How sad.

Yep, I'm with you Minnie. I don't know what to say. We're being set up. There was enough time to prep. This is tragic. Prayers needed, huh?

Caught an interview with someone on TV talking
to a reporter about flying a helecopter over
Eugene to counter Y2K problems. He was pretty
stern and a bit scary. He was talking about c4i.

Give me a cotton pickin' break!! Creswell, Ore.! I lived down there. Are they expecting rioting cattle? Maybe militant mint crop workers? This can't be for real and if it is, what a waste of taxpayers money! ROFL

Dinty,

Answers: Y2k related?=Yes.

Local?="Good grief ! It's going on everywhere!"

Yeah, Creswell. Famous for.... umm, nothing except maybe farmer Smith's pet rooster.

Could be fear of all the welfare recipients being cut off. You ought to be afraid of those `pooh' people. Especially since the centralized P.R.O. (peoples republic of oregon) makes it impossible to get real jobs for most people.
