Did you guys see this article? Heard about it from Alex Jones show; link was on his site infowars.com. If this is true, then the world is much scarier than I thought:

FRANCE

Ad 'full of Satanic images' AGENCE FRANCE-PRESSE in Paris

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The French branch of Japanese carmaker Toyota said yesterday it was opening an inquiry into a European television advertisement for its latest model, the Yaris Verso, after a newspaper claimed the spot was riddled with subliminal Satanic messages. The film, showing a father practising getting to the hospital in time for the birth of his child, appears harmless.

But Le Parisien newspaper said that, when shown at slow speed, Satanic texts referring to the "power of the moon" and the "beauty of darkness" are visible, as well as incitations to suicide and images of bloodied crosses.

Toyota France was unaware of the presence of the images until the firm was contacted late on Friday by Le Parisien.

"We still have not managed to get through to our advertising agency so they can give us an explanation," the head of public relations at Toyota France, Philippe Boursereau, said.

"We will call them first thing on Monday."

Le Parisien says the British advertising agency Saatchi made the film.

"If the images really do exist . . . Toyota France will take the necessary action against all those who took part in the conception and the making of the Yaris Verso spot," the public relations head added.

The advertisement is being shown, in slightly different versions, in various European countries.

This can mean one of two things - Toyota Corp is the AntiChrist, or toyota said backwards means the devil made me do it...

A couple of years ago, right after watching a PBS program about the 1918 Influenza, I noticed something between commercials. Since I had it on tape, I backed up and freeze-framed until I could see it. On a black screen there were white words that said "You can teach your kids about drugs." I wondered if that meant you could teach them not to use drugs, or you could teach them the proper technique for using a crack pipe. It was only onscreen for three frames, so it was no more than a flash. I emailed the station for an explanation and after many weeks got a meaningless reply. "Can't explain... technical glitch... might have been accidentally left on the tape... blah blah blah..."

Pearlie,

That is frightening...and the station's late "oopsie" response show coercion, even if after the fact.

Doesn't this make you wonder what subliminal messages might be being given via video games to our youth, who then when arrested for shooting up their schoolmates do not know WHY they did it...but they all admit to being consumed by these games?

Re: subliminal messages. They don't call them "skill kill" games for nothing people. What's under your Christmas Tree??? Pokemon induces savage behavior amongst children to destroy/obtain opponents trading card property. No mercy. Parents beware.

The irony is the Marketing Firm in NY that invented subliminal advertising admitted years later that the reported results were a con to save their failing business. Obviously someone else liked the idea enough to figure out how to make it work.

scarey for sure. I delt with some of this stuff when my kids where younger. I definately agree there is something going on with the video games. I refused to buy a playstation.

what a bummer!

The buzz I hear in the advertising world is that Toyota actually requested subliminal messages from SANTA.

Subliminals... 1) The fed has made them illegal. Anyone having evidence (such as a video tape) that indicates anyone in the broadcast media is using such tricks should report that to the local Federal Prosecutor. 2) Video and audio subliminals do work. 3) There are certain frequencies which can induce fear and/or seizures in a certain percentage of targeted people. These frequencies have been documented in medical and psychological studies (much as I detest psychology). 4) There are those who know my background... suffice it to say there is a lot more I wish I could say.

Several years ago I read and studied quite a bit about subliminals. With much fanfare a bill was introduced back in the '50s to make them illegal, but the bill was quietly dropped. Now everyone THINKS subliminals are illegal, but they aren't. And they DO work.
