Since CSX has removed all cabooses from regular service, there have been several attempts to refurbish some, without any interior furnishings except a heater, to be used as a"shoving platform". This is utilized when an assignment may have to back it's train for a distance before it reached the work area. Kinda tough to hang on the side of railcars and backing for several miles, its no fun, i can tell you...BTDT.

I'm not sure what an "N-22" class is, but the caboose is former L&N 6310.
