Our local (small town) hardware store had three Genie II lamps for $49 each. We bought 'em.

Might pay off to see if your stores are having pre-y2k closeout type sales too.

Look in the Ace hardware first as they usually seem to be the ones that carry these, as they have an allotment for the company nationally.
