I've used a hypo remover chemical called Orbit Bath off & on for many years, but have never done any tests to see if it actually does what the manufacturer says it will. I always wash longer, just to be on the safe side. If anyone has tested this stuff to see if it actually does shorten washing times considerably, I'd like to hear from you.

The manufacturer also says Orbit Bath can actually be mixed with the fix to form what they call "O-fix." Does anyone have any experience with this?

I have never used orbit bath. If you want to test it's claims, you can use two Kodak test formulas which I provide in a brief article on testing for proper fixing and proper washing at http://unblinkingeye.com/Articles/Archival/archival.html.
