the wedding ring a symbol of promises made - under god.

e pluribus unum and in god we trust on american currency ( at least those two used to be there )

the american flag symbol of country, freedom and blood shed.

the bell within a circle - (bell system) communication - also under that symbol i made my living.

the u.s. postal system logo symbolic of our first means of organized, economical communication.

and many more.

There is a cross that I wear on a simple black rope chain around my neck. It was given to me by my wife on our first Christmas together as a married couple. Not only does it hold all the traditional Christian symbolism, it holds the belief that my wife and I share that marriage is sacred.

I know we can't pick our own items to be remembered by....those that love you will choose their own heirlooms...but I sincerely hope that when I die, that my son will take the cross and wear it in rememberance...

i would gently suggest to kelly-bob, that rather than his son taking the cross, that he give it to him, in writing (with the provision that he wears it until passing on).

The peace sign. It just makes sense that we should be able to co- exist without killing each other.
