Hey, I was at the little base exchange today and guess what? The boat came back yesterday ( a month early I might add....anything to do with Y2K????) and the guys were in today doing a little shopping with their wives....I heard, "Honey, if the economy goes bust this stuff won't last...put it back and go get...." and "You know, the end of the world stuff...." At the check out, she asked (for the FIRST time), is this stuff for Y2K? I had Christmas bows and cheetohs....yeah, right...I did my shopping months ago! I presume she was just asking everyone...

Interesting... The Italian hairdresser is somewhat of a self taught computer expert and says since the BIOS boards have been replaced no problemo....I mentioned that Y2k is not compliant, had he done any of the patches. He said, hogwash, it is compliant. Bill Gates wouldn't sell anything that wasn't...that would be illegal..I just guffawed and suggested he check the microsoft website. He still didn't believe me when I left.

Should be REAL interesting REAL soon....

Thanks Andy, I posted that one yesterday. Oh-- should have said that I told the hairdresser that windows98 was not Y2K compliant and he didn't believe me...Bill Gates wouldn't sell anything that wasn't compliant....yeah right...

For what it's worth here, repeating something I mentioned several months ago, which I in turn had read in an issue of The Harry Schultz Letter(HSL), he is on record in his issue around August 1999 that Mr. Bill will go down in history as the 20th century's most reviled man..guess that means he beats out even Hitlary and Beelzebubba?

This was, by the way, MONTHS before that poll recently that put Klintoon right up there with Hitler. Not sure where Mr. Bill was in that poll.

Reason is, of course, that he has shown no moral integrity, responsibility, or leadership WRT the Y2K issue, as CEO of the foremost maker of Microslopware anywhere, and as recently witnessed by the list of his comapny's products' Y2K-compliance showing a net REGRESSION at this late date, as more products are moved BACK in their Y2K certifiability status.

All he seems interested in is appearing at every COMDEX show(last one of this century was last month) so the world can grovel at his feet and kiss his a**.

Harry Schultz is the world's highest-paid investment advisor, and has a client list that any consultant would kill for. We will know soon enough who is correct.
