followup to banks day without puters

Just a followup to my report of the banks practice day without their computers.

I thought they stayed past seven getting done. That is not so. They left only an hour later than normal. The cleaning squad was in past seven.

They were NOT practicing to operate without power. They have NO intention of staying open if the power is off. Period. If the power goes off the doors will be locked within seconds as always and customers will be turned away. SOP.

They practiced doing manual settlement... in other words counting and settling the day if the power is off or computers are down. This has nothing to do with customers, and does not mean they will stay open under those circumstances.

They had no problems doing manual settlement. Everything went smooth. However, this is a book keeping and management thing, and has nothing to do with whether or not the doors will be open.
